Nacionalismo versus universalismo nos anacos galegos do Ulysses
Mots-clés :
Normalización, Ulysses, Manipulation, NationalismRésumé
Translation is one of the main vehicles for the representation of foreign cultures in domestic enviroments. However, in the case of peripheral, “minorised” contexts, the manipulative power of translation can become representative of a nationalistic stance, the reflection of conflict and tensions which are present in the target culture. This article tries to explore the relationship between translation activities and the process of cultural and linguistic normalisation in Galicia in the 1920s.
