Abstract

After a short reflection on aesthetics and thought within the ever-changing borders between modernism and postmodernism, this article will focus on some epistemological problems of literary theory arising in postmodernity. The study will be built on the seven proposals of Ludwig Wittgenstein’s Tractatus logico-philosophicus, translating between (sic) his analytic-philosophical perspective and postmodernism. Finally, I will broaden the theoretical scope by establishing a dialogue with Wittgenstein’s Philosophical Investigations, in order to delineate some basic conditions for a paratranslative and transdiscursive critique of literature in a postmodern context.
