Abstract

According to the Declaration of Cooperative Identity approved in 1995 by the General Assembly of the International Cooperative Alliance, the cooperative can be defined as an autonomous association of persons united voluntarily to meet common needs and aspirations through a company owned jointly and democratically controlled, governed by a unique system of principles and values.

In this paper, we analyze the legal instrumentation of cooperative collaboration in the provision of public services as a strategy for its improvement, in which the seventh cooperative principle, which advocates that these entities work for the sustainable development of their communities in accordance with the policies adopted by their partners.
