REFORM OF THE FUNCTIONING OF THE CREDIT SECTIONS OF COOPERATIVES IN CATALONIA

The Decree-Law 2/2016, of 17 May, amending Law 6/1998, of 13 May, regulating the operation of credit sections of cooperatives in Catalonia adaps the regulation of credit sections of agricultural cooperatives and provide them with better financing conditions, through the creation of a specific instrument, the «Cooperative Fund to Support Credit Sections», endowed with a professionalized management that will increase its profitability and diminish its need of public resourses.
