Accommodation of the credit cooperative to the framework of coporate governance of the entities of credit

Abstract

The crisis that began in 2007-2008 revealed deficiencies in the Corporate Governance of the credit institutions. This event has led to a legal reform in this area. This article analize the some corporate governance issues in the Credit Co- operatives. In this context the approach is speciality based on the remuneration system for executives and foresighted measures aimed at controlling risk taking. In other respect, the credit Co-operative have been facing for some time the problem of compatibilising the essential principals wich insoire the co-operativ organizations with the demands of ever more complex and competitive markets (the Co-operative Identity).
