Social enterprises – some identifying notes

Abstract

The Communication from the Commission “Creating a favourable climate for social enterprises, key stakeholders in the social economy and innovation” does not define social enterprise. Neither this definition is reported in the Portuguese
Law on Social Economy. This article highlights some notes for the identification of the social enterprises.
