AS COOPERATIVAS DE TRABALLO ASOCIADO: UNHA CRÍTICA NORMATIVA

Abstract

This study pretends to discuss the main trends and the main challenges in which associated work cooperatives are involved. Focusing the attention in the Galician Parliament Act 5/1998, 18th December, it describes the most evident problems that workers-shareholders have in their relationships with the SC. Mainly, the discordances between labour law legislation andcooperatives legislation which results in underprotection of these shareholders. Also, this article suggests the necessity of more permeability and more dialogue between the cooperative institutions and public authorities or other social groups. And that it’s urgent to develop more involvement of these entities of social economy in the most paramount social challenges. Probably, the cooperatives nowadays are too away from the role they might play in a social and democratic system.
