Abstract

Based on the analysis of the intense legislative action to which the sector of social economy has been subject, both in Portuguese law and European Union law, the text focuses on changes to the legal status of private social solidarity institutions,
with particular emphasis on the extension of the legal capacity of these entities, in the changes in the legal typicality of institutional formats, in the regime of incompatibilities, impediments, disqualifications, procedural defects and other grounds of invalidity, showing such regime, by its radicality, an increased administrative stiffness.
