In this contribution we will review the contribution of Roald Dahl, Revolting Rhymes (translated as Tales in verse for perverse children), considering that since its publication in 1982, there have been numerous generations of children who have come across this work. This means that, after more than three decades, the text has not lost its relevance and is still being read both within families and in classrooms or libraries. Therefore, people who belong to different periods considered in the already mentioned decades, have a connection, in this literary case.
In this text we will analyze what is contained in this collection of poems created by the Welsh writer and, above all, what motivates a book able to survive over a great period of time and that it can be easily read almost four decades after its publication. We will also focus on the elements that allow intergenerational connection when reading closed verses and adapted by the British author.
